Sunday
Morning Worship is the central event at Maple Grove. Our organist begins
playing several minutes prior to 10:15, and we use that time to focus
our attention on the worship of God. Maple Grove strives for excellence in church music. We believe
we have one of the best organists around (other churches have tried to
recruit her!). The musical foundation she lays for worship is not
intended to be entertaining or showy, but worshipful. She
carefully selects every musical piece to complement the flow of the
service, and sees her role as a worship leader, and not as a musical
performer.

Our services are characterized mostly by traditional hymns with some
contemporary choruses sprinkled in. There is usually special music
(solo, duet, trio, quartet), accompanied either by piano or sound
track. On occasion, our LOGOS youth and children serve as Worship
Leaders - either singing or playing a guitar. Their
leadership is a blessing to our worship.

Scripture

At Maple Grove we value the Bible highly and intend to take it seriously
in all that we do. Our pastor is a Bible professor at Anderson
University, and he always delivers sermons that are
grounded in Scripture.

Quite often, our LOGOS youth serve as Worship Leaders in the
presentation of the Scripture. Sometimes they will read the
text. Other times they will present a dramatic representation of
the biblical text. We are always fed and inspired by their
leadership.
